I am a Mac Switcher
I Switched to Mac and let me tell you, i did it in a remarkable way and with a great machine. My sister has an iMac 20″ with Intel core duo and i love that thing, is white the previous model.
When i started this blog, i worked in my computer (a windows computer) and on the iMac of my sister. I liked the iMac a lot and i was planning to get a Macbook and was curious about the new Slim notebook Apple is going to sell.
Then i started to get in daily contact with all things Apple with this blog. I was using Mac OS X and Windows Daily switching computers and i found that Windows is not bad, but Mac OS X is better. If you know how to manage a windows system everything is smooth.
But the Mac, is another experience. I was using the iMac of my sister most of the time, and only when she used it i came to my computer.
I am a Graphic Designer and as a Designer the Mac OS X is most pleasant to the eye and run faster on Programs like Photoshop, Illustrator , and i use those programs on a Daily basis. So the switch was inevitable.
I like the screen real estate of the Intel iMac because i previously had a 15″ windows computer and as a designer you need more work space to watch what you are working on.
I switched and i am happy that i did but i didn’t switched for my sister computers i switched for these.
They are Two iMac G5 with 1.8 GHz 160GB and 1Gb of ram. Pretty nice, right?
Well i had the opportunity to buy several of these and buyed two and sold one. The opportunity came to me and got the two machines for about 1000 dollars. Thats the real value of only one iMac and i had to take this opportunity.
As you can see, i installed Leopard on the machine on the right and the other mac has Tiger. I kept the one that has Tiger, because i don’t want to have compatibility issues with Leopard, i plan to install Final Cut Pro and other programs, i think Leopard as the iPhone are not ready for their optimal state.
The pictures were taken by an iPhone and as you know, there’s no flash hehe.
I liked the Mac experience when i started to use the iMac of my sister and i am glad that i switched, and probably i will get the new “ultra super slim” Apple notebook they will announce on MacWorld Expo.
And remember, if opportunity presents and don’t think it twice and act fast. Maybe you could switch to a Mac too.
