Download Unlock.app
Finally a beta version of iPhone Free Software Unlock is now available. You need to download (see update below) the app and then upload to your iPhone /Applications/ Directory
It should be /Applications/Unlock.app/
You need to Jailbreak your iPhone
- iBrick for Windows
- INdependence for Mac OS X
Follow the guides on the previous post.
You should now see The Unlock icon on your iPhone!

Run The Unlock.app on your iPhone just click it.

Leave it for about 20mins to work. The beta version is slow Harro hastn`t slept later on there should be a faster version
- Pause at Flashing Firmware for 20minutes, this wont move the percentage bar because this is beta.The new version will be a 2-5minute process.
When you are done Restart your iPhone and you have an unlocked iPhone

Update: According to gizmodo HaRRo the guy is not the author of the free software unlock and thats why the download link its down.
I uploaded the files needed to unlock your iPhone.
On windows the easiest way is to use iBirckr. Jailbreak your iPhone and then install this Unlock-fast.pxl file. The Unlock app should appear on your iPhone desktop, then click and follow instrucitons above.
If you use Mac download this zip file Unlock.app.zip.
upload it to this directory
/Applications/Unlock.app/

Safari is completely functional but you need to do something so that youtube works.
i am going to give you a link on the hackint0sh forum where they show the steps so that youtube and the Software unlock function properly.

I tried doing this but after the application completed, my phone has started saying “Activate iPhone connect to iTunes”. It is also showing a message “Repair Needed” “iPhone cannot make or receive calls. http://www.apple.com/support“. The network is also not identified.
I guess I have screwed up my brand new phone.

Dont worry Amit, you can restore your iPhone to factory state.And start all over again.
You need to conect your iPhone to iTunes and then you should click to “Restore” Button and wait for a software to download and then your iPhone should be back to normal and then follow this guide.

My iphone shows the same symptoms, i tried to restore but the 1011 error still making my life hard, the iphone never comlete the restore and stills in the yellow triangle so I run the AppTapp Installer to quit the triangle and then the stupid disclaimer appear again “Repair Needed” “iPhone cannot make or receive calls. http://www.apple.com/support“. I can install applications and run the jailbreak but i cant activate the stupid iphone so i cant use these apps so i cant use my iphone so i cant unlock it or use it. HEEEELPPP MEEE!!!!!
Dont worry your iPhone its okay just, have patience.
I have unlocked about 5 iPhones and that problem happened to me once.
restart your computer and then plug your iphone to the dock or to the cable so that itunes can detect it.
you should make a restore and download the software that its 95 mb
this restore should update your iphone too i think. to version 1.0.2
when you have that version you are ready to jailbreak and inster files to your iphone and make the unlocking

I have the same problem. I cannot restore it cause 1011 error. Somebody know what to do with that?
What firmware do you have on your phone?
Restart your computer, and try again. Be patient, i am sure you are going to restore your phone succesfully.
Restar your computer and then you need to donwload a file from apple that is 95mb.

I am experiencing the same problem and can’t seem to get any help to fix it. I have read many articles today that say this is actually a hardware problem that the phone needs to be sent it for repair.

When you Unlock a US iPhone you can insert any GSM chip and is functional, even youtube and safari, i think there is a hack that visual voicemail also works.
if you buy an unlocked iPhone on the US you are going to get all functions but with little hacks and tricks, and i think you only need to switch your SIM card from your blackberry to your unlocked iPhone.

Hey guys….can any1 help me? Im having OTB 1.1.2 iphone..
its jail broken but couldnt unlock sim with any software.. So i was using as an ipod touch…recently wifi got disconnected and then a message appeared saying “Repair Needed” “iPhone cannot make or receive calls. http://www.apple.com/support“….So i tried to reset and downgrade and upgrades of firmware…but nothing works…when i downgrade to 1.1.1 it goes to DFU mode.. and using i bricker kicked the DFU mode. From this point I couldnt go any further…now i cant dial to *307# like we did before…and still that message appears….
SO>>>GUYS WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS…DOES IT MEAN I HAVE TO THROW THIS PHONE AND GET A NEW ONE….
